I Concerti della Pieve: ‘Portrait’ on July
Portraits. Ritratti di donne note degne di nota in Capiglia Marittima on 28 July at 7 pm
June sees the start of the 2019 edition of “I Concerti della Pieve”, which will take place in the splendid Pieve di S.Giovanni di Campiglia Marittima.
Four exceptional performers: Anna Maria Castelli – voice, Alda Dalle Lucche – saxophone, Susanna Bertuccioli – harp, Elida Pali – cello. The musicians on stage tell the story of five extraordinary women: Germaine Tailleferre / Cathy Berberian / Violeta Parra / Gabriella Bartolomei / Malala Yousafzai, with texts by the Florentine writer Marco Vichi, music by composer and pianist Massimo Buffetti and performances by G. TAILLEFERRE – V. PARRA – H. VILLA LOBOS – G. BARTOLOMEI.
Born from the will of a group of artists who, combining their sensibilities, decided to portray, through music and words by Massimo Buffetti and Marco Vichi respectively, the characters of five extraordinary women: Germaine, Cathy, Violeta, Gabriella and Malala.
In the “space” of the portraits, there is also music by Tailleferre himself, the words and music of a famous song by Violeta Parra, one of Gabriella Bartolomei’s creations, and a “revisitation” by Heitor Villa- Lobos.
