‘Preghiera’ on stage at Florence 2.0
At Florence 2.0 Preghiera will have on stage at the Cinema La Compagnia (Via Cavour, 50 R – Florence) on 9 September 2020 at 8.30 pm
The interest in choreographic research has led Arianna Benedetti to construct a dance articulated in transversal lines and in a plurality of expressive languages such as modern, urban and contemporary dance, animating physical forms and minimalist dynamics, stimulating individual emotionality and creativity in a non-random relationship with musical choices. The performance describes a moment of recollection, a prayer that, in welcoming the dance, is transformed from memory into distance, irony, wonder and, finally, balance. Set to music by Massimo Buffetti, here in a specially rethought instrumental-only version, ‘Preghiera’ is taken from ‘Hanno detto’, a chamber opera in one act, to a text by the writer Marco Vichi.
