National premiere of ‘Prochain arrêt’ at Teatro La Versiliana

National premiere of ‘Prochain arrêt’: a production by Versiliadanza and Fondazione La Versiliana for the 30th anniversary of the company
Opening on Saturday 15th July at 9.30 pm at the Teatro Grande – La Versiliana in Marina di Pietrasanta, Lucca (viale Morin 16), ‘Prochain arrêt’, a co-production of Versiliadanza and Fondazione La Versiliana. Nine artists over 45 take to the stage to tell their stories through dance, theatre, literature, song, music and poetry, in a journey through memories, presences and events that have accompanied them in their “life as an artist”.
Stefano Agostini, Sonia Bertin, Michela Caccavale, Luisa Guicciardini, Ilaria Landi, Francesca Malacarne, Alessandro Pucci, Raffaele Sicignano and Angela Torriani Evangelisti are the protagonists of the performance and the curators of its production and interpretation, Franco Di Francescantonio and Gianluigi Tosto lend their voices to the words of Giorgio Caproni, Piero Ciampi, José Saramago, Antonio Tabucchi and Leonardo Da Vinci.

The music is entrusted to the flutes of Stefano Agostini, quotes from ‘Recitar Canzoni’ and ‘Vox Aquae’ with guitars by Marco Gammanossi, bass and violin by Nino Marini and percussion by Giovanni Canale and Giacomo Riggi, Handel and Vivaldi, Bosso and Buffetti, Conte and Gluck. The performance is completed by images that interact with the movements of the artists, creating a surrealist atmosphere of the 1930s. The work is part of the programme of the 44th edition of La Versiliana Festival and has been made possible thanks to the support of MIC – Direzione Spettacolo dal Vivo, Regione Toscana, Comune di Firenze.
